The legal title of certified tax advisor (StB) and certified tax advisor for international tax law (FBIStR) was given in the Federal Republic of Germany.
The profession of tax advisor is essentially subject to the following German legal regulations:
a) Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG)
b) Implementing Ordinance to the Tax Consultancy Act (DVStB)
c) Professional Code of Conduct (BOStB)
d) Tax Consultant Fee Regulation (StBVV)
The professional regulations can be viewed at the responsible Chamber of Tax Advisors in Munich; these can also be found on the website of the Federal Chamber of Tax Advisors (http://www.bstbk.de).

The professional liability insurance is with R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG, Stuttgart.
The geographical scope of the insurance cover includes activities in the member states of the European Union and Turkey and meets the requirements of Section 67 of the German Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG), Sections 51 et seq. Implementing Ordinance to the Tax Consultancy Act (DVStB).
